Privacy Policy
Overview
The Legacy School (“Legacy,” “the School,” “we,” “our”) respects the privacy of every visitor to this website. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using this site, you agree to the terms of this policy.
Information We Collect
We collect three types of information.
Information you provide directly. When you submit an inquiry, request a tour, apply for admission, enroll a student, register for camp, request transportation, or apply for employment, you provide information such as parent or guardian name, email address, and phone number, and student information such as name, grade, and date of birth. As part of the admission and enrollment process, you may also provide student educational, evaluation, and health or medical information necessary for admission, placement, and the care of your child while at the School.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we automatically collect information such as the pages you visit, time on site, browser type, device, referring source, and approximate location. This is collected through Squarespace, our website platform, and Google Analytics.
Information collected through our forms and service providers. We use Jotform, a third-party online form platform, to collect and process information submitted through our forms. Information you submit through those forms is processed and stored by Jotform on our behalf. We also use FACTS and PayPal to process application fees, deposits, and tuition payments; payment information you provide is handled by those processors, not stored by the School.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, schedule tours, process applications and enrollment, administer camp and transportation, evaluate employment candidates, and communicate with you about the School. We use student health and emergency information to provide appropriate care and to meet enrollment requirements. We use automatically collected analytics data to understand how visitors use our site and to improve its content and performance.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the website and the School — including Squarespace (website hosting), Google Analytics (site analytics), Jotform (online forms), and FACTS and PayPal (payment processing). These providers are bound to use your information only as needed to deliver their services.
We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the School, our students and families, or others.
Cookies and Tracking
This site uses cookies and similar technologies to function properly and to measure how visitors use it. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of some features.
Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about how you use our site. To opt out of Google Analytics, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Data Security
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect the information collected through this site. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by emailing the address below. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. Families of enrolled students may also have rights regarding their child’s education records under applicable federal and state law.
Children’s Privacy
This website is intended for use by adults — parents, guardians, prospective employees, and others. We do not direct this website to children, and we do not knowingly permit children to submit their own personal information through this site. Information about prospective and enrolled students is provided by their parents or guardians. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, please contact us at the address below and we will take appropriate steps to address it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision.
