Lower School Teacher (2026-2027)
The Legacy School, a school for dyslexic and learning challenged children in grades 1-8, is seeking a full-time Lower School teacher to join our experienced and collaborative faculty.
Legacy is committed to creating an environment where students are encouraged to strive, reach, and endeavor towards becoming their best selves. This is done through our teacher-mentor model of instruction, our caring and dedicated faculty, and a robust curriculum.
Legacy seeks a creative and innovative Lower School Teacher for this 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate would have completed undergraduate work in elementary education, special education, early childhood education, or related field.
Candidates must have experience teaching Elementary Education, Special Education, or assisting in an Elementary or Special Education classroom. The ideal candidate will possess a solid work ethic, professionalism, and an understanding of learning differences, patience, flexibility, and a team player. Instruction is remedial and geared towards students who benefit from a systematic, multi-sensory approach to written language.
