Ways to Give
Five ways to support Legacy.
Giving to Legacy is tax-deductible and can be done in whatever way fits you best. Below are the ways families, alumni, and friends most often support the school.
THE ANNUAL FUND
The Annual Fund bridges the gap between tuition and the actual cost of a Legacy education, and it is the school’s most important fundraising effort because it supports every student and teacher on campus.
Gifts of any size make a difference, and the school asks every family to take part. Broad participation also strengthens the school’s standing for grants and corporate matching.
THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Families often find Legacy after years of struggle, when they have run out of other options.
The Scholarship Fund helps make a Legacy education possible for children whose families need financial support, regardless of means. Gifts can be directed to the general Scholarship Fund or to the Fran Bowman Scholarship Fund.
GIFTS OF STOCK
Donating appreciated stock directly to Legacy can carry significant tax advantages, including avoiding capital gains on the appreciated value while still receiving an income-tax benefit for the gift.

PLANNED GIVING
A planned gift — most commonly a bequest in your will, but also charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, retirement plans, or life insurance — lets you support the school in a way that fits your circumstances, often with favorable benefits to you or your estate.

MAKING A GIFT
Giving is easy and tax-deductible.
You can give online, mail a check to the school, or meet with school leadership to find the gift that fits what you’d like to do.
