“Where should I start?! From the very beginning, Legacy has always been able to see Phoebe’s potential. Their whole approach is different, it is almost as if Legacy had the key to unlocking something in her brain that taught her in a way she understood. They are patient beyond words can describe! Legacy School will NEVER give up on your child, they realize everyone learns differently and they take the time to figure it out. Plus, one on one tutoring is something you don’t receive in most schools.”

Public school couldn’t really give him the accommodations that he needed. I also think they engage the kids interests, and a lot the papers he brings home are about things he is interested in. Really they connect it to what the kids like and enjoy. The teachers really do provide individualized instruction. They utilize a lot of hands on and tangible things that really engage students with language disabilities. They really meet each kid where they are.”

Disgraphia and writing are much harder, and organizing his thoughts, and they have done so much to help with that. They give him graphic organizers and help him color code. They break it down into manageable chunks. They also help by breaking it down into small groups and working one on one in math. Getting that one an one attention is really great. We also love how they do homework. It has made such a difference, homework can be such a stress on the household and the kid. I love that its one sheet and its review. He has his reading and his one math worksheet and he can get it done and it’s not a stressor. It has boosted his self esteem academically and socially. It has opened his eyes to see that others struggle with the things he struggles with. Public school made him feel stupid because he was the only one struggling.”
