Literacy: Journey to Sovereignty

For students at The Legacy School, like the one pictured using a Chromebook in a classroom, literacy is not just about phonics; it's about Sovereignty. Teachers and tutors at The Legacy School follow student's pacing for attainable wins. Students gain sovereignty over their academic life and learn to take educational risks.

Literacy: Journey to Sovereignty

When Simran started at The Legacy School the gap between her potential and her reality was wide. She was a non-reader, trapped behind a wall of frustration. Today, she is High School ready.

How did we do it?

We followed her pacing. By following her pacing, and providing her with attainable wins, Simran gained the sovereignty over her academic life and learned to take educational risks. By attuning our frequency to hers, rather than forcing hers onto ours, Simran has excelled. A child who once refused to go to class now reads for pleasure and learning.
