Legacy joins Carroll County’s Oktoberfest with a 5K and Family Fun Run

Legacy is excited to be a part of this year’s Oktoberfest held at Carroll County’s Agricultural Center & Shipley Arena with its first 5K and Family 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk. Legacy’s events will begin at 10:30am the morning of the first day of Oktoberfest with same-day registration beginning at 8:30am. Everyone who registers for the 5K or Family Fun Run will receive a 1-day admission to Oktoberfest for free!

The Oktoberfest will be the Third Annual this year held by all four Rotary clubs of Carroll County. The festival is over 2-days, Saturday October 4th and Sunday October 5th. Oktoberfest is a fun-filled day with many family activities, as well as authentic style German foods, beers, and music. Festivities will include a “Roll Out the Barrel” Ceremony to be performed by local dignitaries, a Lederhosen and Dirndl Contest, Polka Dance contest, and a Chicken Dance Contest, with live entertainment all day. Children’s activities will include face painting, pumpkin painting, scarecrow making, magic shows, balloon sculptors, and many games.
